January Sales Wishlist

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas & a very Happy New Year!

After a little break over the festive period I am very excited to get back into blogging again & really spend time working on my little corner of the internet.

Now the rush of Christmas has come to an end, the next thing I tend to get excited over is the January Sales. Whilst I'm not one to run into town at 5am or fight people over a pair of jeans, I do enjoy finding the odd bargain - especially if it's found online from the comfort of my own home.

To kick-start this year of blogging I couldn't resist sharing a few of the sale items that have recently caught my eye...

1) Skincare Essentials Duo - £20.75 reduced from £26.00 - Liz Earle [x]
2) Black Suede Platforms - £16.00 reduced from £27.99 - New Look [x]
3) Nutcracker Creme Lipstick;"Saucy Little Darling" - £11.50 reduced from £17.00 - MAC [x]
4) RedKen "All Soft" Gift Set - £22.10 reduced from £29.50 - Feel Unique [x]
5) Vintage Disney Wall Canvas - £16.00 reduced from £20.00 - Debenhams [x]
6) Large Shopper Bag - £74.00 reduced from £149.00 - Ted Baker [x]

If you've spotted any great deals online, I'd love to know in the comments!

New Look Sale Wishlist

I'm sure it doesn't come as a shock to anyone what I say that I love shopping.. Treating yourself to a new pair of shoes after a busy week or to a new lipstick when you've hit your gym goal for the week is one of the best rewards. But in my opinion there's one thing that beats shopping... sale shopping!

Now I'm not talking about spending hours sifting through sale racks or pushing and shoving my way through the crowds to get that half price top - which at my height is definitely a health hazard - I'm talking about the kind of sale shopping you can from the sofa, in your pyjamas whilst binge watching Netflix..

So when I noticed that New Look - one of my favourite high-street stores - was having a sale, I couldn't resist having a little snoop to see what bargains were available.

Here are a few of the items that caught my eye..

1. High Waisted Shorts - £7.00 reduced from £14.99 [x]
2. Floral Print Crop Top - £7.00 reduced from £14.99 [x]
3. Gold Necklace - £2.00 reduces from £4.99 [x]
4. Black Peplum Dress - £7.00 reduced from £12.99 [x]
5. Mini Satchel - £8.00 reduced from £19.99 [x]
6. Aztec Print Joggers - £12.00 reduced from £17.99 [x]
7. Mint Chunky Heels - £12.00 reduced from £24.99 [x]
8. Ripped Knee Jeggings - £8.00 reduced from £19.00 [x]
9. Cut Out Denim Shorts - £10.00 reduced from £22.99 [x

Another thing I love about sale shopping is the bargains that can be picked up.. Who could feel guilty about a new pair of heels for £12.00 reduced from £24.99 or a new bag for £8.00 instead of £19.99?!

Which are your favourite shops for sale shopping?

OOTD - Drinks With The Girls

One thing that I love about pay-day weekend is the excuse to treat yourself.. the feeling of "hey, I've worked hard this month.. I deserve this!".

With this in mind, when a girlie night happened to fall on pay-day weekend.. I couldn't resist treating myself to a new outfit *plus - because like most girls  - I simply had nothing to wear.. obviously*. So after work on Friday I plodded of to New Look to see what I could put together.. (It's safe to say that after the 3rd time wandering around the store, my boyfriend regretted his offer to come with me).

S'cuse the background.. this was taken at my friend's
house before venturing off..
Top -  £7.99 [x]
Trousers  - £14.99 [x]
Necklace  -  £7.99 [x]
Shoes  - £27.99 [x]
A few of the linked items do slightly vary from the ones I'm wearing as New Look's website doesn't currently have the exact items available online.

I love this outfit as it's perfect to wear out if a dress isn't feeling all that appealing - who doesn't have those days where having legs on show is the last thing on your mind?! - plus it can be easily dressed up for a night out or dressed down for a casual day-time event *think sandals and an oversized hand-bag*.

What are your current evening ware staples?
I'm always on the look out for an excuse to go shopping!

Pay Day Haul

Last week my favourite day of the month finally arrived - Pay day!

After working hard all  month & countless early mornings, I thought it was only fair to get a few little treats for myself.

Although I've been working full time for roughly 7 months now, there must be a little part of me that thinks like a student.. (when I was at university, my loan rarely stretched far enough for treats like this so I haven't quite got used to going out shopping).. but if you can't treat yourself after a long month of working hard, when can you?!

I still haven't quite managed to grasp how to photo clothes...

1. Skinny Jeans - £14.99 -New Look [x]
2. Marvel Super Hero Shorts - £4.00 - Primark
3. Black Floppy Hat - £8.00 -  Primark
4. Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer - £4.19 - Superdrug [x]
5. Faux suede Dolly Shoes - £4.00 - Primark
6. Les Misérables - £5.00 - Amazon [x]
7. Black Roll Neck Top - £9.99 - New Look [x]
(I couldn't find the exact top on the New Look website, so I've linked a similar one)

My favourite items from this haul include New Look's skinny jeans - they're a mixture between jeans and jeggings, so I find them much comfier than normal jeans, but they're still much better quality then a pair of material leggings - They're a great staple & will go well with both casual items (think converse or Chelsea boots) or dressed up with a pair of heels/wedges.

Another favourite item has to be the floppy hat.. I've been after one of these hats since last summer - and had just about given up finding one that suited me. That is until I spotted this in Primark. I think it a very flattering look and such a simple accessory that can easily glam up an otherwise casual outfit.

If you read my February Favourites post, you'll know that I've been loving the songs from Les Misérables recently - so when this popped up on Amazon, I couldn't resist buying it to add to my DVD collection!

Finally - I can't wait to wear the superhero shorts to the gym! I think they're so cool & such a bargain at only £4! Primark had a few more styles available - none quite as cool as these, but I'm sure I'll be making a trip back to purchase the others soon.. Who needs to splash out on expensive gym wear when you can get shorts like this for a fraction of the price?!

What are your favourite items to shop for at the moment?
I'm sure I could be persuaded to treat myself to a few more items!
