Another milestone for Small & Blonde

 Over the last few weeks I've noticed my number of followers gradually creeping up.. Then a few days back I noticed that little blue 1 at the top of the Bloglovin' page (which always excites me) only this time it was to let me know that my beloved Small & Blonde had reached 200 followers!

To say this made me happy would be a massive understatement & I promptly squealed  excitedly to my boyfriend.

When my little blog hit 100 followers I wrote a little thank-you post (which you can read here) and I really wanted to do that again. I know 200 isn't a big number in comparison to some blogs out there, but I never imagined anyone would be interested in my posts. 

So I wanted to write a quick post to thank-you to anyone who ever reads and/or comments on any posts I write. Seeing that little blue notification pop up on the Bloglovin' motivates me to keep on writing posts & hopefully continue to grow my little corner of the internet.

5 Photos that make me happy -Tag

I'm sure by now you've seen this latest craze floating around Facebook and even on a few blogs.. If you haven't the idea is you post five - or however many you can whittle it down too - photos that make you happy each time you see them.

I thought this was such a lovely idea and was genuinely happy when a friend of mine tagged me to join in. But I didn't want to limit this to Facebook and thought this would make a cute blog post.

I'll be honest and say there was no way I could limit my photo selection to just five, so in the end I settled for ten - I know, I know.. just a few over. But oh well, I wanted to include everyone close to me.

Class of 2014 - Graduation

On Monday, after many many months of waiting, the day of my Graduation finally arrived!

For anyone who doesn't know, I finished studying at university after three amazing years in June and was awarded a 2:1 Bachelor or Arts Degree with Honours in Events Management from The University of Birmingham. This technically means I can put letters after my name now .. Samantha Brooks B.A (Hons) - but despite the temptation, I don't do this haha! 

Most of my friends had their graduation ceremonies a few months ago, so it felt like such a long wait having ours towards the end of September... However despite the wait, it's safe to say it was well worth it. 

The day was filled with celebrations with family and friends and was honest amazing.. To document this I  really wanted to write a post, so in a few months or years I have something to look back on.

Although pretty scary at times (I've never been as nervous as I was walking across that stage, especially in heels!)... Graduation was honestly the BEST day ever! It was so lovely to see all my family, friends and friend's families so happy and proud of each other. 

After working so hard for three years this was the perfect way to finish and celebrate the time we spent at university. Well done Class of 2014.

University reminiscing

After work today I came home for some much needed lazy laptop time. 

As I was flicking through Facebook, seeing different photos and status' from people who are still at university and how their currently enjoy Freshers. 

Freshers for those of you who don't know, is usually a week or two (or three if you went to my university) where everyone goes on lots of nights out and spends time getting to know each other before lectures begin (yes it's as amazing as it sounds). 

This is when I realised that three years ago today - a Saturday to be precise - was the day I packed up my little bedroom and moved to the big city to start my university journey. This realisation made me feel very sentimental to say the least! Therefore I decided to put together a little of some of my university photos. 

Now I could write about this allll night if I let myself, but my aim was for this to just be short post as a little tribute to my student days.  It really made me happy seeing so many old photos I'd forgotten about and all the memories that came with them.

It's safe to say that if you're heading off to uni soon, or if you have time left - I'm incredibly jealous!

A Little Milestone for Small and Blonde

After a long day at work during the week, I came home to see the little green notification at the top of my screen on Bloglovin'. 

This little green sign popping up makes me very happy each time I see it, but this time I was on a whole other level. 

Now some people may not think this is overly exciting - or in the grand scheme of things think it's that much of a big deal. But I personally could not be happier... especially as I've only been writing my little blog for around two months and *if I'm honest* I don't really have a clue what I'm doing! 

What's so special about seeing the little green notification you ask? Well this particular notification was to tell me that my beloved Small and Blonde had reached 100 followers... Yaaaaaay!!

This may seem like a teeny-tiny number in comparison to most blogs, but to me it's a huge achievement. So I thought I'd write a quick post for a couple of reasons... 

1. If you couldn't already tell I'm super excited by this - so obviously wanted to write about it 

2. I wanted to say a little thank-you to the people who follow Small and Blonde. It makes me so happy when I get a comment or a like on a post and I love the interaction with other bloggers.

So yes... Thank-you very much! 

I'm now going to skip/sing around my flat whilst continuing to feel overly happy about the whole situation!

Back in the 21st century and a thank-you.

After not being having proper access to Small and Blonde for around 2 weeks I am so so excited that I finally have WiFi in my new flat and therefore can start blogging frequently again! Whenever an idea for a blog post has popped into my head whilst having no internet I’ve made a note of it on my phone and have managed to build up quite a list. Over the next week or so I’m very excited to start putting these ideas together before I enter the real world and start full time work on the 28^th  * eeek scary *.

As a little side note my little blog reached 50 followers around a week or so ago. I know in the world of blogging this is a teeny tiny number, but I only created this a few of months ago (I think… is it bad that I can’t fully remember? oops) and I am unbelievably happy with reaching this number. So, I just wanted to say a quick thank-you to anyone who has followed Small and Blonde.

I can’t wait to get back into blogging regularly again!
