2015 Christmas Gifts - Part Two

Following on from my previous post (which showed the gifts I received from my boyfriend & can be found here) this post details the lovely present I was lucky enough to receive from my family & friends this year.

Again - I just want to quickly point out that this is in no-way bragging or showing off as I'm writing this due to the fact that I personally love reading posts like this & having a nose at what people received for Christmas.

As you can see I was incredibly lucky this year & received some amazing gifts from my family & friends. These gifts include Soap & Glory gift sets, Pandora Charms, a scarf, adorable teddy-bear slippers, a Liz Earle gift set, make-up brushes, Paper Towns by John Green (I'm sure this will tug at my heart strings just like A Fault in Our Stars), earrings, miniature bottles of wine, a Marie Mug (one of my favourite Disney characters), a candle, both the Aristocats & The Little Mermaid on DVD, a pink Peter Pan collard top, cat gloves, a pair of "riding" style boots, two necklaces, a Ted Baker nail varnish set (which I am in love with), the first 3 Star Wars films on DVD,  and lots & lots of chocolate/sweets. I also received some money/gift vouches which haven't been included above as I thought that may be a little odd.

Obviously Christmas is about more than gifts & is really all about spending quality time with loved ones without the everyday stresses of work & day-day life (which is definitely something I seem to appreciate the older I get, especially living an hour from my home town) but I am incredibly gratful for all the lovely presents I received this year & as I previously mentioned, I love to have a nose at posts like this so thought it would be the perfect opportunity to get involved myself.

If you've written a similar post, let me know in the comments as I'd love
to read for myself.

2015 Christmas Gifts - Part One

This year it's safe to say that I was well & truly spoilt by both my family & Ollie (my boyfriend for those who don't know) so I thought I'd put together a little post detailing the lovely gifts I was lucky enough to receive. Of course *disclaimer alert* this is in no way bragging or showing off - I simply love reading posts like this & wanted to jump on the bandwagon myself.

I thought it best to split this post up to save me waffling on & boring everyone involved. So this post will detail the lovely gifts I received from Ollie & I think the next will detail those from family/friends.

As you can see from above, I was lucky enough to receive some amazing gifts from Ollie this year. These included the first season of AMC's "Fear the Walking Dead" (a prequel series to my all-time favourite show The Walking Dead), fluffy Minnie Mouse socks, a Sheep cuddly toy from the game "Minecraft" (this is a game we sometimes play together & I have soft spot for the block-shaped animals) a Pandora Bracelet with a gorgeous heart claps, a build-your-own Pikachu figure (again a character that I had a particular soft-spot for when I was younger), some cute gingerbread pyjamas & a Mac lipstick in the shade Full Fuschia.

Ollie also purchased tickets for us to visit the Harry Potter Studio Tours (something I've wanted to do ever since it opened).. to go alongside the these he gave me the first book in the Harry Potter Series (The Philosophers Stone) & the Xbox 360 Lego game (which is honestly a lot of fun!). He also included a pair of "Harry-Potter-style" glasses which he has insisted I wear on our visit.

It's safe to say that I love each & every gift I received from Ollie this year as it's easy to see just how much thought has gone into each one. I'm one very happy girl.

I hope you had a lovely Christmas & have an amazing 2016!

Walt Disney World Haul

Unfortunately - despite how the title of this post may sound - I haven't run off to Disney World to become a Princess *sobs quietly*. However my family have recently returned from their trip to Orlando, which meant both my boyfriend and I were lucky enough to receive some gorgeous Disney themed gifts.. so of course, I couldn't resist sharing.

Minnie Mouse Ears,
A Disney Princess Car Ariel Topper,
Owl Themed Chop-sticks,
A Tinker Bell Christmas Decoration,
Mickey Mouse Shaped Pasta,
Cat Themed Chop-sticks,
A Mickey Mouse Shaped Fried Egg/Cookie Cutter,
A Cat Shaped Chop-stick Rest,
Mickey's "Really Swell Diner" Chocolate Fudge Flavour Cocoa,
Owl Shaped Chop-stick Rest
Remy from Ratatouille Plush.

Obviously not each item above is strictly "Disney Themed" but I know my Mum couldn't resist the chop-sticks & matching rests once she spotted them in the Epcot park... which is great as they're adorable (plus they give me the perfect excuse to order Chinese take-out on a regular basis..).

It's safe to say that I am completely in love with each of the above items.. If I can't run away to live/work at Disney World, then stocking my little flat full of themed accessories is the next best thing!

Valentines Gift Ideas For That Special Someone

As I'm sure everyone's aware, Valentines Day is just around the corner. Now I'm not a huge believer of splashing out for a crazy Valentines day (We should probably let people know we love them all year round, not just on the 14th February) but it's a good excuse to be a little more on the romantic side that normal.

However - who says Valentines has to be purely for couples?! We love so many different people!

Now of course, if you have one, this includes a significant other. But this can also include a best friend, family member or even if you just fancy treating yourself to something pretty (go ahead.. you deserve it!) - there's something on this list to treat whoever you love.

1. "Our Story" Personal Timeline - Find Me A Gift - £17.99 [x]
2. Fill In Yourself Love Book - Not On The High Street - £8.00 [x]
3. "You're My Lobster" cookie - Not On The High Street - £7.00 [x]
4. Personalised Cushion - Not On The High Street- £30.00 [x]
5. "Heart Throb" Bath Bomb - Lush - £3.65 [x]
6. Personalised Typography Print - Not On The High Street - £18.50 [x]
7. "Soppy" Valentines Book - Asos - £10.99 [x]
8. Chocolate Heart Slab - Hotel Chocolat - £3.75 [x]
9. "I Love You More Than..." Coaster - Not On The High Street - £6.50 [x]

I think these gifts are each adorable.. Any F.R.I.E.N.D.S fan would love the Lobster Cookie, made famous by Phoebe's strange, but cute saying. Although a little on the pricey side for a cookie, you're bound to win brownie point if your loved one is a true fan of the show.

If you're looking for something slightly more romantic I adore The Typography Print & The Personalised Cushion, both available at Not On The Highstreet.  Each are so cute and could take pride within the home without being overly "in your face" romance wise.

However, if you're looking to treat someone else, other's items could easily be given to a friend.. If you're willing to let your bestie know that you love them more than Ryan Gosling, Daniel Craig and Chocolate - I think that's a friendship that'll last a life time!

Finally - what more could you ask for as a little treat for yourself then a relaxing bath and some chocolate?! Enter Lush's "Heart Throb" bath bomb and the Hotel Chocolat slab (if you haven't tried chocolate from Hotel Chocolat I'd strongly recommend it - delicious!).

Do you have any plans for the day?
