So when the invitation to my office Christmas party arrived last week, I immediately set about to find the perfect party look. 88th Academy Awards - Looks I Love

With the end of February welcoming the 88th Academy Awards I was shamelessly excited about the various red carpet looks. Luckily it's safe to say that this years red carpet did not disappoint & after hours of research - aka staring longingly at pictures of gorgeous dresses - I managed to select a few of my favourite looks to share here on Small & Blonde.

CocoMelody Wedding Dresses*

Whether it be my favourite childhood princess or a family celebration, I've always loved the thought of weddings. In fact this love (combined with my of organising & planning) went on to inspire me to complete a degree in Events Management at university. So when I received the email from the team at CocoMelody asking if I'd like to write a post detailing their gorgeous wedding dresses, I jumped at the chance..

For those who don't know CocoMelody is a bridal store that offers both elegant & affordable wedding dresses to brides all over the world. After many hours of research (aka staring lovingly at dresses whilst imagining how each would look on myself) I finally managed to pick out three dresses that I really deserved to be shown-off here on Small & Blonde.

The first dress to catch my eye was this stunning lace design from the brands "2016 wedding dresses". What really stood out here was the detailing of the lace overlay from the shoulder straps right down to the slight train, allowing for just a hint of Disney princess. 

In contrast to the lace design is a dress that features within the brands "Beach Wedding Dresses". The waist detailing coupled with a classic design offers a simple yet elegant look that leaves me day-dreaming of saying my vows on a far-off exotic beach. 

For the third and final dress I couldn't resist including this beautiful champagne design. Although similar to the first dress featured, the subtle colour change adds a unique twist that is perfect for brides looking for something a little different.

Christmas Party Outfit Ideas

With the annual Christmas party getting closer, the stress of finding the perfect outfit is steadily growing *or is that only me?!*. So this year I thought I'd put together a few dresses that have recently caught my eye - each perfect for a night out with friends & colleagues alike.

My favourites include; Pretty Little Thing's red skater dress & Boohoo's sequin skater dress *nothing screams Christmas fashion quite like sequins!*. I also love the style of Miss Selfridge's' "leafy maxi dress". Although a little on the pricier side, it's perfect for those struggling to decide between a long or short dress.

2015 Oscars - Looks That I Love

Whenever an awards ceremony comes around, I love nothing more than seeing which looks each A-lister chose to walk the red carpet. With this year seeing the 87th Academy Awards, the choice of gorgeous dresses & looks definitely didn't disappoint.

The day after the awards, I shamelessly spent my lunch break at work scrolling through photo after photo of beautiful gowns whilst allowing myself to daydream about dolling myself up to walk the red carpet .. (not that I'm entirely sure what awards ceremony I'd be attending, seeing as I can neither sing nor act - but hey.. we can all dream of finding fame somehow right?).

After lusting after all the red carpet looks, I knew I couldn't resist putting a blog post together showing off the looks I loved the most (I know, I know - a post dedicated to the looks of the Oscar's is more than stereotypical of your typical beauty/lifestyle blog - but hey, I'm not sorry to fall into that stereotype..).

It was pretty difficult to narrow down the list of celebs that stood out to me, but above is a mixture of some of my favourite A - Listers & women who - I feel - got their red carpet 100% on point. 

I've definitely discovered more than a few new style icons from this years Academy Awards red carpet - even if I may not ever have the opportunity to quite re-create their style..
